As Manager Product Sales, you will be responsible for development and presentation of processes, training, and programs to field personnel, and directly to assigned key customers. Provides support for issues of medium-to-high complexity, a broad scope of responsibilities, and high level of customer contact. Provides general market and limited brand and product support within the assigned territory working primarily with third-party sales personnel, channel partners and end users. Performs territory and chain customer sales analysis and develops plans to address sales issues.

Reporting directly to the Field Marketing Manager, this position will support the Multiplex brand and is based in New Albany, Indiana*.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • May provide guidance and issue resolution to direct reports.
  • Supports field sales, national account team and independent reps as required in complex sales and large opportunities; accompanies sales personnel on customer calls as required.
  • Manages product roll-out programs and coordination of culinary and technical programs.
  • Represents brands at trade shows, buying group programs, and similar events to create business opportunities. Drives the creation of engaging and impactful trade show displays and activities to create excitement and interest in the related brands.
  • Develops and conducts education and training programs to grow product sales.
  • In conjunction with the Product Management Team, participates in the development of sales brochures, web site, and advertising; develops, manages production through shared services, and maintains instructional programs, sales brochures, web site, and advertising material to grow sales. Develops plan to address sales issues with sales management to achieve assigned sales quota (National accounts or global chains)

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide product, application and/or technical support on assigned product family
  • Support field sales, national account team and independent reps as required in complex sales and large opportunities, accompany sales personnel on customer calls as required
  • Support assigned key accounts and sectors, including management of product roll-out programs and coordination of culinary and technical programs.
  • Represent OC and brands at trade shows, buying group programs, and similar events to create business opportunities. Participate in the creation of engaging and impactful trade show displays and activities that will create excitement and interest in the related brand/s
  • Provide input to Product Management, conduct education and training programs to grow product sales
  • Develop detailed knowledge of best-in-class sales and market growth strategies and assist channel partners in implementing such programs to grow Welbilt sales and relationships. Analyze sales trends and work with Field Sales Management to develop and execute a sales plan coordinating efforts with field sales management and field sales
  • Assist the Inside Sales Team and Field Sales Team in the resolution of customer disputes.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Sales, Marketing, Business, or Culinary
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Will consider 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of relevant product and applications.
  • Excellent training and communication skills, ability to address different audiences.
  • Experience in training and service area in foodservice equipment or related industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with key sales concepts of product performance, customer satisfaction, and field product application.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to connect with different audiences quickly
  • Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods.
  • Must be fluent in English (written and verbal), Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to Travel up to 20% of the time
